The SteepleCam project was taken on to help neighbors along Back Creek Road during the upcoming road widening project. A lot of folks seem to think that the project has been delayed because the church just didn't want it to go through because it would affect our roadfront footage. Not at all true - we've been pushing for this for many years and are as happy as we can be that the project will be starting in several weeks.
So reason #1 for the SteepleCam is to give folks a glimpse of what the traffic situation looks like before they head out the doors - so you can decide whether to head north, south, or west towards Faires Farm - or to have another cup of coffee while things clear out a little bit.
The camera is aimed so that you can see the extent of the backup. The far right of the image catches traffic directly in front of the sanctuary, (~10-12 vehicles) and the far left (although it is a bit difficult to make out) catches traffic that is backing up towards Back Creek Chase and the bridge. When things get bad, vehicles will be queueing up in that area of the picture.
The trees along the road will be coming down shortly - that should give a better view! In the meantime, if you have any comments - feel free to post here.
Happy and Safe Commuting!

Christianity Explored
This is a new Wednesday night small group Bible Study. It is meeting in CE Rm 208 (upstairs) and Andy McGehee, Alan Cochrane, and Greg Eichman are leading. Lot's of fun last week and Cinnabons to boot. If you know of anyone still looking for a group, I'd recommend this one to them!
